35 years of gentrification later: July, 2009.  Houseboater Fiver Brown rehearses his band in the community area of the South Forty Dock before going on the road. 

Same houseboat, 1973 and ten improvements later in mid-2009.  The original owner-builder was notable for never wearing anything but his toolbelt during the whole of the construction.  Later residents included editor Kevin Kelly, poet Anne Herbert, architect Peter Calthorpe, and writer Paul Hawken.
